2001 Incanto. With Incanto, Saeco developed the
smallest automatic coffeemachine: just 26.5 cm
wide.
1998 Digital display. The first machine with digital
display permits even simpler use of the menu. Pre-brewing system Aroma System. The aroma can
completely develop.
1996 Cappuccinatore. This new device draws milk
directly from the carton and puts it in the cup,
turning it into a thick, rich cream.
1995 Cup warming plate. The pre-heated cups improve
the aroma and cream of coffee.
Second generation of the brew group. Thanks to
the technical improvements, it is so reliable
that Saeco can afford to furnish a 5-year
warranty.
1990 TWIN automatic two-cup coffeemachine. For the
first time it was possible to prepare two cups
of coffee at the same time.
1985 Invention of the Saeco brew group. It can be
removed and washed under running water without
using detergents. Since then more than 8 million
of these revolutionary pieces have been
manufactured. Thanks to it the first automatic
espresso coffee machine was introduced to the
market. Finally we were able to get the pleasure
of coffee by simply pressing a button.
1981 Sergio Zappella and Arthur Schmed founded the
company Saeco S.r.l. in Gaggio Montano, a small
town in the province of Bologna, and they
started manufacturing espresso coffee machines
for domestic use. Many international patents
have written the history of coffee up until
today. In the meantime, more than 70 specialised
engineers and technicians have worked on
perfecting the pleasure of coffee.
